before-after

Our patients are as unique as their personal goals and needs. At Plastic Surgery Center, we are able to tailor body contouring procedures and treatments to each individual patient.

For some patients, weight loss is their goal. Others want to tighten loose, sagging skin, or feel and look more youthful. We can help patients lose weight and have a more proportioned appearance with smoother, tighter contours.

Our goal is to fit each patient’s objectives with the appropriate surgical procedure or treatment option. Here are a just a few of our solutions:

Weight Loss Options

Orbera is a weight loss balloon that helps patients eat less. It’s a safe, non-surgical, non-invasive, non-permanent, incision-free weight-loss program that includes support and coaching.

Endoscopic Suture Gastroplasty (ESG) is also non-surgical. We take a normal, large, stretchy stomach and tighten it into a narrow, sleeve shape, so patients eat less to feel satisfied. ESG also comes with aftercare support and coaching.

Body Contouring Options

Body contouring surgery after massive weight loss helps patients with sagging skin left after weight loss.

Arm lift surgery corrects sagging of the upper arms and can help tighten this skin.

Thigh lift surgery corrects sagging of the inner thigh and reshapes the thighs by reducing excess skin.

Tummy tuck surgery can correct stretched and loose skin that hangs over the abdomen.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits and improving body contours and proportion.

Breast surgery may include a breast augmentation, breast lift or breast reduction depending on the size of your breasts.

Want to learn more about any of these procedures? You can at our May Body Contouring Event! Or schedule your consultation with one of our highly trained plastic surgeons at 316-688-7500.

Sarah’s ESG Journey

Sarah had her ESG procedure in May 2021 and has lost 72 pounds so far. She says she would 150% do it again!

Explain your journey to Endoscopic Suture Gastroplasty (ESG):

Sarah: While I have always been active, I have struggled with my weight. My metabolism never kept up with my exercise level. Because of that I knew I needed something that was fairly permanent. After researching, I knew I didn’t want a gastric bypass or gastric sleeve because I didn’t want the side effects or the downtime. ESG seemed like the perfect fit.

How did you feel after the procedure?

Sarah: The first week was pretty hard because I was on a liquid diet and pretty bloated. I did sleep better if I drank ¼ cup of 1% milk before bedtime to coat my stomach. I went back to work after four days and slowly transitioned to soft foods and then solid foods. I was instantly eating less.

When did you notice your results?

Sarah: At six weeks I was down 27 pounds! After about eight weeks I noticed my energy levels were up. By November, people told me how amazing I looked. My clothes were big and baggy, so I went shopping for jeans. I went in wearing a size 14 and came out in a size eight. I was crying I was so happy.

What is life like now?

Sarah: I mostly eat meat, veggies, and fruit. Carbohydrates make me really full, so if I have bread, pasta, or rice, it’s usually about a ½ cup. I still love food. It’s just that now I don’t need all of it. If I take one bite too many, I am miserable, so I know when to stop.

Are you happy with your results?

Sarah: Absolutely! I went from a size 16 to a size four/six. I feel great and have so much more energy. I don’t crave things like I used to. The best thing my husband said to me was, “I am so proud of you. You look amazing, and you’ve done it!”

Do you have advice for people considering ESG?

Sarah: I did it for me. Don’t do it to please someone else. If you’re looking for a permanent solution for you, then don’t hesitate. Also, make sure you have a strong support system.
