As you age, certain predictable changes occur. Parts of your face begin to sag and lose volume, you may develop bags underneath your eyes, fine lines and wrinkles appear, and you look more tired than you feel.
The good news is you don’t have to sit back and watch passively as these changes take over. It is possible to regain a more youthful appearance, improve functional problems, and erase some of the effects of aging. A skilled plastic surgeon can make subtle changes that take 10-15 years off your face so when you look in the mirror, it looks more like what you think you look like in your head.
Our patient, Karma, took advantage of a Facelift and Eyelid Surgery for just these reasons.
Facelift and Eyelid Surgery
Facelift surgery is the ultimate facial rejuvenation. For Karma, it provided dramatic results giving her face a tighter, more youthful look.
Eyelid Surgery can enhance the appearance of both the upper and lower eyelids. It gives the area surrounding the eyes a rejuvenated appearance. In Karma’s case, she now looks more rested and alert. For some patients, it helps open up the visual field.
Like Karma, you can age as gracefully as you want with today’s cosmetic options and feel beautiful in every stage of life. By enhancing your natural beauty, you can look as young as you feel. If you’re wondering if a Facelift or Eyelid Surgery is right for you, your first step is a consultation with one of our plastic surgeons who can help you make a plan to meet your goals.
Real Patients. Real Results.
Our real plastic surgery patient, Karma, tells us she feels better about herself, has more confidence, and looks younger after her Facelift and Eyelid Surgery earlier this year.
Tell us about your journey to a Facelift and Eyelid Surgery:
PSC Patient: About a year before my surgery I spoke with a friend who’d had a facelift. That triggered the thought process, but I’m an earth girl from the 70s, and I’d never been high maintenance about my looks. Then, as a business owner, I had a video made, and when they were editing it, I saw myself, thought “Oh no,” and I picked up the phone that day to schedule a consult. Everyone at the office was so nice, and they made me feel very comfortable. I quickly decided to schedule the surgery and had a great experience through the whole process.
How did you feel after the procedure?
PSC Patient: That day I took my pain meds and used ice as prescribed. The day after I cut my pain meds in half, and by day three, I didn’t take any more. I had some discomfort but never really any pain.
When did you notice your results?
PSC Patient: Even though I had some swelling and bruising, I went to a work function one week after my surgery and was completely back to work by two weeks. My results were a gradual process, and I still look at my face and notice the change. Interestingly, about a month after my surgery, I went to a work convention, and someone there thought my husband was with a younger woman.
Are you happy with your results?
PSC Patient: Yes, I am very happy. When I look at pictures just two years ago, I can’t believe the difference. I look like a younger version of myself about 10-15 years ago. It’s amazing because my results aren’t just about looks. It’s about my level of happiness and general feeling of self-confidence. It was life changing, and it has impacted more than my face; my outlook is better, too.
Do you have advice for people considering a Facelift or Eyelid Surgery?
PSC Patient: If you want to do it, then do it. It’s worth every penny. My suggestion is to at least give yourself the opportunity to have a consultation and discussion with a plastic surgeon.
You deserve expert guidance and exceptional results.

Expect exceptional results when you have your procedures performed by plastic surgeons who are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and who are members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons like Dr. Ferris, Dr. Sprole, and Dr. Biskup. These specially trained doctors have at least six years of surgical training and experience, with a minimum of three years of plastic surgery.
