Our patient, a 40-year-old nurse found out she had a genetic disorder that increased her susceptibility of breast cancer. She came to Dr. Spaniol because she was interested specifically in pre-pectoral reconstruction. This is reconstruction of the breasts on top of the chest muscles. She underwent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies with Dr. Christina Nicholas and Dr. Diane Hunt, she had reconstruction with pre-pectoral tissue expanders supported with AlloDerm. After four weeks to allow for healing, she underwent an implant exchange for Natrelle Inspira SoftTouch 335 cc silicone implants. She is shown one week after her exchange, feeling and looking great!
