Rhinoplasty at Plastic Surgery Center
Your nose is a prominent feature of your face.
When it is out of proportion with your other facial features, it can affect the way you feel about yourself. This is where a rhinoplasty (nose job) in Wichita may help. A rhinoplasty can also help with breathing problems, if you have them.

How It Works
If you feel your nose is out of proportion with your face, a rhinoplasty may help.
Most often, the characteristics of the nose are determined by heredity, but sometimes the appearance of your nose can be changed due to injury or prior surgery. You might need surgery to improve breathing.
If you are bothered by the size and shape of your nose, or need surgery to help improve your breathing, then rhinoplasty may be right for you. In some cases, nose surgery may be performed in conjunction with a chin implant or facelift.
A rhinoplasty can improve the appearance of your nose, enhancing your self confidence.
It is an highly individualized procedure. The following are common areas of concern in noses:
- Nose size
- Nose width, at the bridge or the nostrils
- Nose profile, such as large hump or depression of the bridge
- Nasal tip, that is enlarged or bulbous, drooping, upturned or hooked
- Nostrils that are large, wide or upturned
- Nasal asymmetry
- Deviated septum
Rhinoplasty Steps
- Schedule your consultation and then surgery.
- You will usually need general anesthesia.
- We perform rhinoplasty with both closed and open techniques, depending on your needs. A closed procedure utilizes incisions that are hidden inside the nose. An open procedure utilizes an incision on the underside of your nose.
- If your septum is deviated, we can straighten to improve your breathing.
- You will have splints and sometimes gauze packing for a few days to support your nose as it heals.
- You will notice your results immediately, and these will continue to improve as swelling subsides.
