Perform a disappearing act on spider veins and varicose veins at PSC Vein Care! Our vein services include Sclerotherapy, Microphlebectomy, Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA) procedures, and laser treatments.
We’ve staffed PSC Vein Care at the Plastic Surgery Center with experienced providers who can help treat your spider veins, varicose veins, and heavy, swollen legs.
At Your First Visit
When you visit with us, we’ll use vein mapping to evaluate your veins and create a treatment plan for you.
We use ultrasound to create images of veins in your legs for diagnosis and treatment planning. During the ultrasound, high frequency sound waves create instant images on a monitor. The images show the blood flow and any problems with your veins.
Not Just a Cosmetic Issue
Varicose veins are not always just a cosmetic issue… They can be a medical issue that requires attention. Your medical insurance may cover certain procedures.
Spider Veins
Clusters of small veins are more commonly called spider veins. Pregnancy, heredity, injury, and hormonal changes can cause these veins to form. Spider veins are not harmful, but they can be treated for cosmetic reasons.
Varicose Veins
When vein valves are not functioning properly, blood flows in the wrong direction and can cause blood to pool in the leg. This problem can cause veins to dilate creating varicose veins. Varicose veins can make your legs feel heavy, tired, or full.
Venous Insufficiency
You may not have varicose veins, but you may have a disease known as Chronic Venous Insufficiency. One in four Americans are affected, and of those people with chronic Venous Insufficieny, only 17% are diagnosed, and only one percent are treated.
This condition causes pressure throughout the legs, which can lead to many issues including swelling, heaviness, pain, cramps, changes in skin color, ulcers, spider veins, varicose veins, restless leg syndrome, and more.
We are happy to evaluate you for Venous Insufficiency so that we can provide comprehensive care to improve your overall health and quality of life.
We can treat you with radiofrequency ablation.
This is a clinically proven, minimally invasive procedure that treats Varicose Veins and Venous Insufficiency with little or no discomfort or downtime. Most patients leave the office and return to their daily activities the same day.
For varicose veins, we use Microphlebectomy.
This in-office procedure vanishes unsightly surface varicose veins. It’s an option for veins that are too large to be treated with sclerotherapy. The treatment involves removing medium and large varicose veins through tiny skin punctures that do not require stitches.
If you have small varicose veins, we can treat them with Sclerotherapy.
We inject a solution into your affected veins, causing them to collapse and ultimately fade over time. This causes blood vessels to close and dissolve. Sclerotherapy is the main treatment option for spider veins. Learn more about Sclerotherapy vein treatment in Wichita!

How It Works
We can reduce your small varicose veins using Sclerotherapy in a safe, effective, and painless manner.
In many people, varicose veins appear as small clusters of red, blue, or purple veins. They are usually found on the calves, thighs, and ankles. Some even notice them at a young age. For others, the veins aren’t noticeable until they’re much older.
What causes varicose and spider veins?
We find that a number of factors may contribute to the development of varicose veins in the legs, including:
- Heredity
- Hormonal shifts
- Occupations or activities that require prolonged sitting or standing
- Pregnancy
- Weight fluctuation
We can use Sclerotherapy vein treatment in Wichita as a treatment for those of you find small varicose veins bothersome, have realistic goals for your treatment, and are committed to following the prescribed treatment plan.

Conservative Treatment Options for Vein Issues
Compression Socks or Stockings
These fit snugly around your legs. They put more pressure at the ankle than at the top. This moves blood upward and helps keep it from pooling in your legs. The socks and stockings come in a variety of styles, lengths, and sizes. Your doctor will prescribe a safe and effective pressure for you.
TIPS FOR EFFECTIVE WEAR
- Do not leave any folds or wrinkles.
- Replace stockings when they start to become loose.
- Do not sleep in stockings unless you are told to do so.
- Wear for the amount of time you are told by your doctor.
Exercise
Exercising your calf and thigh muscles will help move blood upward. Having toned muscles may help with blood flow, even when you are sitting or standing.
Elevation
Raising your legs lets gravity help blood flow back to your heart. Sit or lie with your feet a few inches above your heart for 15 minutes. Do this two to three times each day.
