Jump Start Your Self-Esteem with Mommy Makeover Surgery

Many women eat right and exercise daily, but their bodies just don’t look and feel like they want. They are looking for ways to regain their shape and restore their self-confidence. Pregnancy, childbirth, breast feeding, aging, and extreme weight loss make a lasting mark on a woman’s body, but it’s never too late to change the way you look and feel. Diet and exercise may help, but often times your body can only be tightened through surgery.

If you’re like the patient in this article, you’re looking for ways to look and feel better. If you’ve tried diet and exercise, but you have sagging skin, a post-baby “bump” on your tummy, or breasts that don’t feel like they used to, a Mommy Makeover can help you reclaim your body, so you look and feel like you again.

What is a Mommy Makeover?

Mommy Makeovers are a combination of cosmetic procedures that reshape and enhance your body at any age. They may include any combination of the following:

  • Breast procedure – depending on the size of your breasts, surgery may include a breast augmentation, breast lift or breast reduction
  • Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) or mini tummy tuck (targets only the lower tummy) to correct stretched and loose skin
  • Liposuction for contouring of problem areas
  • Vaginal rejuvenation with FemiLift – a non-surgical, quick, and safe solution for various common feminine issues such as Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI), vaginal dryness and laxity, post-delivery rehabilitation, recurring infections, painful intercourse and more

Your recovery time depends on which procedures you undergo, how many you receive, and whether they are performed in combination or over a series of appointments.

With a Mommy Makeover, you and your surgeon discuss your goals and create a plan together to target the areas where you need and want the most help. Your first step to getting your body back and renewing your self-confidence is a consultation with one of our expert plastic surgeons.

Real Patients. Real Results.

Our real Plastic Surgery Center patient decided it was time to take care of herself. Here’s her story about her Mommy Makeover surgery that included a breast lift, tummy tuck, and liposuction on her back.

Tell us about your journey to Mommy Makeover surgery:

PSC Patient: I had just gotten divorced, and I realized it was time to start caring for myself. I’d learned about a Mommy Makeover from a co-worker as well as social media. Several years ago, I had gastric bypass surgery, and it left me with a lot of hanging skin that I wanted to get rid of.

Describe the days after the procedure:

PSC Patient: I was really in quite a lot of pain. I’m not a huge fan of pain medication, so I really tried to manage the pain mostly without it. After about two weeks, most of the pain was gone, and I had some discomfort.

When did you notice your results?

PSC Patient: My swelling had really gone down by about the third week, and I was so happy when I noticed my results. They were amazing, especially my tummy tuck. By the sixth week, it was wonderful.

Are you happy with your results?

PSC Patient: Yes! Even though I had a lot of pain, I am so glad I did it. I would do it again. I went down a whole clothing size. Before the surgery, I had learned how to hide my body, and now I don’t hide anything. It’s so freeing to be able to wear crop tops. I have way more self-esteem, and that’s why this surgery was worth it.

Do you have advice for people considering Mommy Makeover surgery?

PSC Patient: Just do it. Make sure you have some help for a few weeks after the surgery. My self confidence is amazing now, and there are no words to really express how happy I am. When I look in the mirror, I can see such a difference.
